The individual responsible for O-Week in 2009 will be a paid student employee of WLUSU. Taking on and increasing the responsibilities of O-Week Coordinators of the past, the newly created Director of Orientation Programming and Events will work with a team of student volunteers to create a lasting and highly impactful orientation experience for our incoming students. Bringing increased mangagement over the details of O-Week, the new Director will be responsible for assisting in the procurement of local sponsorship opportunities as well as working closely with the AVP: Student Affairs to help work with the Shinerama Coordinator to develop a great fundraising campaign.

The position holder will be reporting to incoming Associate Vice President: Student Affairs, Jamie Graham (jgraham@wlu.ca). The position begins in mid-March and continues on a part-time basis until August, when it will become full-time until completion of O-Week. For the month of September, the individual will be expected to work minimal part-time hours to complete post O-Week requirements, including filing of expense requisitions, implementation of a follow-up survey and ensuring the cleanliness of the Student Centre.
